Funny, I moved from S.Fl after living there for 26 years to Atlanta, and the first winter here, my husband and I looked at each other and said OMG, what have we done. Last winter in GA was miserable. We did get some snow in January that was cool, but the lack of sunshine and being outside sent my body into a seasonal depression.

How about we switch our winters

Atlanta is a perfect place for a balance hot summers and cold winters but none are too long.

I was Born and raised in the NE but always hated the long cold season so for me Florida is nice but for those who think Florida is too much I would try Atlanta or North Carolina.

There is nothing wrong with liking the cold or the heat it`s all about personal preference But I think the most comfortable weather for most people are the 70`s.

The beach weather is wonderful. Walking the beach to Sharkys for bloody Mary this past Sunday was way beyond excellent.
When you walk outside and your dripping wet in minutes - it's tarpon season - I'm addicted.
Hanging out around the pool after work is delightful.
Some of my favorite orchids are preparing to bloom in September.
My windows will be opened in mid-October.
Southwest Florida weather isn't for everyone, but it fits me to a t.
The toughest part is having to change from your casual relax at home flip-flops to your formal go-to-work flip-flops!

You would have to find an indoor gym then bacause it is too hot and humid to jog outside during the summer.

If it's ever "too hot" to run or jog, then you are out of shape or in too poor of health to be running.

We all went for a walk tonight around here where we live around 8pm, it was pretty nice. A little humid, but with the sun nearly all the way down it made it bearable. I see most people around here doing thier walking, jogging, biking, either in the morning or at dusk, Too hot any other time, you see no one after about 9am.

You must live in a dead area? I see people jogging during the heat of the day.
