Default Arcadia

Hello all,

I may potentially be moving to Arcadia for a job...I'm deciding between 3 possibilities right away.

Does anyone know of a room or cheap apartment for rent IN Arcadia? I have a very quiet, well behaved, friendly dog......

A Room would suit me just fine, I just don't have a big budget here.

The closer to Asbury Street, the better.. but anywhere in Arcadia could possibly work.

Please email me, aruralguyintheplains(at)gmail(dot)com as I don't check this board that often.

Thanks in advance.

I also work in Arcadia, but I live in North Port, about 35 min. away.

If you're looking for an apt., you'll probably find something quite cheap in Arcadia.
I notice that someone posted a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom HOUSE for rent for $500. a month.

You might want to check the local newspaper or an agent that handles rentals.

Be advised there's not a whole lot in Arcadia, but the cost of living is very low. It's like walking into a time machine, really.

Mikey.

We drove through Arcadia a couple of years ago. I really didn't know anyplace like that existed anymore. It was like stepping through the looking glass into 1940! Quaint, old buildings - some not so well kept. Very small town - I bet everyone knows everybody else and they have to roll the sidewalks up by 5:30 pm.

However, it was a Saturday and the park was crowded with kids and families. It may be the perfect place for some.

I wouldn't limit myself to Arcadia.

I'd check Gardner, Myakka City, Nocatee, and Brownsville too.
