Unhappy Taxes & Insurance Answers

For those of us that are wondering what our taxes/insurance bills might be......try this site Cost Of Living In Florida.com of course you have to put the www in front of it....no spaces...you can pick the county you are considering...enter the price...and a few other questions (3) and you will get an estimate of taxes......less than what I thought...but more than I want to pay......then you can try the insurance site...another eye opener...

I took a look at the site and used my own situation as input, Taxes and insurance numbers were way high. Insurance was about $2000 over what I pay, taxes were about $500 over.
Just value on my house is about 20% less than my mortgage (I took in account my homestead exemption).
I wonder how other residents costs compare?

I am sure that this site just takes into consideration the purchase price of the home...as far as the insurance goes...and as we know...the land around the house...usually survives......so I am sure that accounts for the hugh difference...the taxes...the only real way to tell what they are going to be is to contact the local town clerk/assessor and ask them...
