I get home from work in down town orlando to oviedo in 35 minutes during the peak of rush hour. if i stay off the toll roads it takes 45 minutes to 50 minutes because of the traffic lights. I had a worse time with traffic in nj 16 years ago. the toll roads get you where you are going quick.

I have never posted on here before but I go to Oviedo High school in Seminole County and have lived here all my life.

The high schools in seminole country are Oviedo High, Hagerty High (9th & 10th grade center), Winter Springs High, Lake Howell High, Lake Brantley High, Lake Mary High, Lyman High and Seminole High.

The website for seminole county public schools is www.scps.k12.fl.us

My school is really good it has been an A school for many years. I am zoned for hagerty but its for 9th and 10th grade so I go to Oviedo. They will be adding a new grade level every year until 12th.

We have two children, so schools will be important. Any information you can provide would be helpful. Thanks!
Hi there! My husband and I transplanted to Seminole County almost 10 years ago and we've always been very happy here. I hear the Oviedo area is nice but a bit pricey but still has a nice rural feel to it in some areas. We live just west of I-4 and while construction is starting to catch up with us over here we still find it to be pretty, safe, and very convenient. Parents of school age children believe the Seminole County schools to be very good. Best of luck to you! By the way, consider buying a resale home. You'll get a much better deal. Our house is 16 years old but sits on a 1/3 acre lot. Try to find that much land under a new house!

Good morning everyone,
My boyfriend who I have been with for three years is now moving to Tampa for a job. I'm not sure if I want to make the move yet. I'm in RI. right now and I'm a little scared to make such a big move. I'm in banking and I'm worried about a job and just starting a new life down there. I have been reading all your advise and it's great, so thanks for that. I'm just really confused right now. Do I give up my relationship or just give up everything I have in New England and go? My head is spinning. He told me last night that he's leaving by the first week of August. My heart is crushed, any suggestions?

Does your bank do business down in florida? Is this the man you see yourself spending your life with and creating a family with? Will you miss the nearness of your family and friends in RI? You have much soul searching to do before you can make that life changing decision. Do not allow others to make you feel hurried into anything. It is your life and no one else! Take charge cos no one can answer your questions only you can!

This is the hardest thing that I have ever gone through. We are driving down in a couple of weeks to get him situated and then I fly back solo. I just don't know. My family is my mom, sister and myself. We are all so close so it's very hard from that aspect too. Then again I have to live. I'm 27 years old and it's a 3 hour plane ride away. I can always come back. As far as children go, I'm not sure that I want children at this point in my life however I would marry him. As far as the job, I know I would be taking a sizeable paycut there as the salaries are much lower and my bank's footprint is not in Florida but I have a lot of banking experience so I'm sure that I could find something. I'm in such a toss up. What really hurts me too is that my boyfriend doesnt seem as bothered as I am. He says it's much more difficult for him then he is letting on but seriously, show me some kind of emotion. I told him that I understand that it is difficult for him however there is a huge difference between how he feels and how I feel. This was all "HIS" choice. Totally out of my hands. Breaks my heart.

What some might not want to tell you is that Tampa has the most gangs per capita in the United States..Yep, even more than L.A.. Navarre is probably the tamest town in Fla.. New homes there; Holly by the Sea, etc., average 210.00- 290,000..
