Yep. I know. It's the same response I've heard from everyone. As a 3rd generation native hispanic, I'm not important, anyway...

With this uncalled for language , the C.D. Moderator should discipline you. Its not a matter of people 'invading your state' -- its not YOUR state, its not YOUR town, its not YOUR roads, and its not YOUR beach ...regardless of your job status, race, or national origin . You live in the "UNITED" States , so stop being the Tyrant of Florida . Unless Jeb puts up a sign at the Florida border saying Keep Out , as a citizen of the "UNITED" States, Ill move to Florida if i desire too and I encourage others to do the same . With your personal agenda, you shouldnt be holding a Florida County position because you represent Florida in an unsavoury manner and I know Jeb would call for your resignation if he knew of it.
END.

Hi Howdedo. Just so you know. Jeb isn't the governor anymore it's Charlie Crist.
I also don't agree with that post from the other member. It has been reported.
Everyone has the right to move wherever they want it is still the USA, am I correct? I have been here for 14 years, and yes Florida has really changed, but not due to tourists...
This is NO ONE'S STATE.... Free country Trina... And I am half spanish(Spain).

If it was not for "migrants" as you call them, Florida would still be a big swamp in the middle of nowhere as it was for many years. "Migrants" have invested billions of dollars in to the Florida economy and have brought wealth to the region. Without the "migrant" money Florida would have collapsed years ago, even with all the money being brought in, Florida continues to be a low-wage service job economy that is unattractive to many major corporations. It is this confederate mentality that will bring the downfall of Florida and continue to make Florida unappealing to people looking to relocate. Trina42 keep your state and your crappy low-wage jobs, I have never found your state appealing for more than a typical vacation. Trina42, you and the other natives that hate "migrants" should make Florida its own country. I would love to see how long that would last.

It's one thing to have tourists and migrants, and another thing to be invaded. Florida has been invaded. No income tax = high property taxes. That's where Florida makes up the difference. Other states do not have the high property taxes and high insurance like Florida. I was born and raised in Florida and love the state. I grew up going to the beach, but I live in Atlanta now and would not move back to Florida. It's a very dangerous place to live.

Stop defending Florida your not helping just making people here fit the stereotypes that have been stated.
I am also a transplant and happen to like it here and think of this as home, we have every right to live wherever we want.
People in the government here should have known the population was going to soar in Florida and planned accordingly, how is that the fault of the people moving here?

What parts of Florida are dangerous to live in ? The entire State isnt. Looking at CityDatas Crime Data Rate, the U.S. average is 320 and Atlanta was 862 for last year ; you cant be too concerned for your welfare living in a place like that .

It looks like the County where Trina42 resides, is actively marketing for people to come and enjoy their County ! : Gilchrist County, Florida. Come discover the natural beauty of*Florida's Gilchrist County in the Suwannee River Valley. Visit our historic little towns of Bell, Fanning Springs and Trenton. Enjoy paddling, swimming, snorkeling, tubing, fishing, bird . Hmmmm....

Yes. Gilchrist County actively encourages tourism. Really, is the difference between tourism and migration such a difficult concept to grasp?
I do apologize for my language. I just love my home and get very angry about the way it's being abused. No one wants to accept responsibility for the damage they're doing.

REPLY: If i called up Gilchrist County Office and asked if they would be okay with someone moving there , they would not say :'Only if youre a Tourist' ! Gilchrist County is so sparse with people that theyd probably offer to pay my moving expenses to get me in . Your apology is accepted Trina ., but again, its NOT your State, NOT your County, NOT your roads, NOT your beaches, and more than likely NOT even your house (because the Mortgage Company owns it currently). You are simply a current Resident of Florida until your current plans are finalized to move out of Florida ; then you will be a Resident of another State -- one of many "UNITED" States within America . And, how will you feel if a native from that State tells you what youve been dishing out in this thread ?
