You're right, it does. I like visiting in the winter and experiencing 70s for a week in December, but that's all I can handle of it. I wouldn't want to live somewhere where it's that warm year round. The summers are very very hot and humid too. Whenever I go down, we need to do our outdoor activities in the very early morning or in the evening. Up here in NY, kids can be outside all day during their summer vacations. I never ever see any Florida kids out during their summer vacations. I feel bad for them since it's too hot.

It was just as humid last year, and the year before that, so on and so on. For 15 years I see no difference in humidity???????

So, you saw the worst of it, it's usually not that bad .

It gets a helluva lot hotter in other Southern states. Nashville had a streak last year of 16 straight days of over 100 degrees with no rain. Every single peice of grass in the city and suburbs was fried and brown.

Also, We don't have a breeze coming off of the Gulf or the Atlantic.

I see that Tampa is averaging 82% humidity, Nashville is a little less at 68% but still...

You guys and gals that complain about the heat in Florida should try taking a trip to Bayou Country in Southern Louisiana maybe on Bayou Lafourche.

That is the point he made. It's hot most of the year. Well it is hot from March/April through November... Not a lot of choices, anything in between bites the big one.

I agree, I HATE fl's weather also....oh trust me, I do!! Just august is the worst month here....and it's almost as ridiculous as the northerners who come here for a week in late December and say how the weather is soooooo beautiful.

It's SOOOO Hot and soo HUMID that I almost died when I visited Florida in august this year for three weeks!!
Even the rain is so bad... thunderstorm almost everyday, then sun, then clouds, then rain etc.
Well, OK the weather gets much better for few months, but it's still hot & humid for around 8 - 9 months... omg!
Well, many people would say that NJ has humid summers too... but at least we have many days with dryer air during the summer, 4 distinct seasons with pleasantly spring and fall, plus it's not 90's F every day and humidity is not 80 - 100%. A place where you can't walk outside without sweating is horrible.
Sweating it's good for you, if you didn't know, .

I think it's becoming hotter and more humid as the years move forward. Granted, I've only been here 8 years, but I noticed the so called "winters" here seem to be fading. What happened last year??? I hope it's colder this year come January through March. Those are the only three months I actually enjoy being outdoors.

Lol it seems that we have a bunch of weather wimps here, looks like people in the USA have been spoiled by California's dry summers that when they face a little humidity in florida they start acting up.

If you think florida is hot and humid, try southeast Asia, or the Amazon rainforest. The weather in Florida is perfectly fine.

And the #1 reason Florida weather sucks.....when you have to resort to bringing up the Amazon rainforest to find a place more humid than Florida!
