What do you miss?
Now that you're living in Florida, are there any foods you're unable to find that were your favorites at home?

Real bagels and pizza, especially pizza just by the slice at a Mom and Pop pizzaria.

These are some of the foods I will miss.
1) REAL beer battered haddock Friday night fish fry.
2) BUFFALO chicken wings.....(don't even try to tell me you have them... )
3) Ice Cream places....(this seems strange, but at least where we bought in Florida, there does not seem to be many.. )
4) Tim Hortons
5) Beef on Wicks
6) White hots
7) Good pizza
Life is a trade off.....I still feel I am upgrading....

What do I miss as far as food? I would have to agree- pizza, bagels, delis, seafood. Most of all, I miss the variety of restaurants that have been around for years, generations even, not just chains or local chains. I don't know, I just the sense of community in the area, and that stretches to restaurants.

Good point about the ice cream places-- you'd think because of the weather they would be in abundance here in Florida. Not where I live on the Central West Coast. There are 2 places within 20 miles and that's it. What is up with that? In this hot state you would think that would be a booming business. But no one here seems to notice. Nor the fact that we don't have a coffee shop, privately owned, or DunkinDonuts, Starbucks, for like 30 miles. I just don't get it.

Maybe us NYers should send some of our Carvels down to Florida, lol. I know it's a local thing here, but there was one by me that shut down. They should have relocated it to Florida lol

Authentic restaurants???? Ok, if you consider your "authentic" restaurants Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendys, pizza hut(the nastiest pizza anywhere) and Dominoes all the power to you...... The town I am from has about 25-30 authentic restaurants(Northampton/Amherst MA) and all are one and only restaurants 6 of them are 5 star, how about facts first.
