The commute from Weston would be farther than the commute from North Naples or Lehigh. This is doable as it will be almost all interstate and SR29, which doesn't have a lot of traffic in that part. It will depend on your situation, budget etc.

I agree the image of Ave Maria as some Catholic town is softening. Don't worry about that.

Orangetree is a nice area on the fringe of Golden Gate Estates. It is much closer to North Naples than it is to Immokalee. About 20-25 miles to Immokalee.

The other thing to consider is shopping. There is one grocery store and no Wal-Marts or K-Marts. The closest ones are in Lehigh. There are plenty of convenience stores and gas stations. Gas tends to be expensive compared to Naples or Lehigh.

That is actually north of the main town area towards LaBelle. If you don't want to live in Immokalee or Ave Maria then Lehigh would be your best bet. You are probably about 15 miles from the fringe of Lehigh. The commute from Weston would be even farther than we estimated.

Lehigh is mixed. I would search these threads to get an idea of what it is like. It is certainly not all bad, you just have to choose carefully.

My friend who lives out there (Lehigh Acres) keeps on getting his home burglarized in the past month...hmm...I think it's because it's so isolated out there. I think if you can find a section that has more homes and is more well lit though, it shouldn't be too bad. Being extremely biased, I still think the Weston idea is best unless you absolutely do NOT have the money. Even though timewise the commute would be about the same as from most points of Naples, you are still talking about a lot of highway miles, and from Naples you are talking about a lot of time...so that's another +1 for Lehigh.

Keeps getting his home burglarized in the space of a month?

I think I'd sit there for a couple weeks waiting with a loaded shotgun.
