Can anyone tell me about the Meadowcroft condos on W. 56th St. Is this a nice and safe area? What is right near it?

The word Bradenton and safe should not be in the same sentence. Bradenton is infested with gangs and crime.

It's only part of B-town that's bad.

Not all of Bradenton is gang infested. The area around Meadowcroft is not bad. However, there are two Meadowcroft condo areas, very close to each other. One is off 59th Street north of Blake Hospital and the other is also off 59th Street, but south of Blake (hence the name Meadowcroft South). They have different restrictions. If I remember correctly, the ones north of Blake have an age restriction (55+) and some are detached single family homes, others are villas. If it is something you would be interested in, check with a local real estate agent since some FSBOs don't even understand the restrictions themselves, much less tell a prospective buyer about them. It could end up being a waste of time if that is not what you are looking for. My cousin lives in Village Green (which is very close) and has never had any trouble.

My mom lives in Village Green...she's been up 4sale for over a year, beautiful property but zip 34209 had over 1,000 properties for sale in the last few weeks...and it's not like it's the size of NYC...ok...

Village Green is mostly retirees...Meadowcrofts are in old, west Bradenton areas....that are okay.....

Good luck, take your pick, it's a buyers market for sure but the real deal comes with getting financed.
