the real estate boom i think brought a lof of people to orlando, but i think fla started changing before 2004. south fla has been changing for yrs now. central fla has changed drastically, i'd say, over the last 5-7 yrs. i mean drastically. now i hear northern fla is too.

It sucks too, I used to love it here... Believe it or not.

Orlando is VERY different from back when I first came. Some places are still nearly the same, Melbourne, Sebastian, Bradenton/Sarasota.

I was born and raised in Florida and moved back down there in 2004 lived in Tampa. I didn't realize all of the problems, no jobs, low pay, no middle class, expensive, unfriendly people, the list goes on and on, but I found it to be unlivable. The quality of life in Atlanta is so much better, and the traffic is not that bad. I live in a beautiful neighborhood close to town, very safe with friendly people. I love to visit Florida but living there is out of the question. I also spent a few months in south Fla. and it was a terrible, dangerous place to live.

We moved out of Cent Fl in 05. I lived there for 35 yrs. It went to hell. The traffic is ridiculous, nobody speaks english and everybodys shooting at each other and robbing every store they go into. We moved to MO. Its ok but the winters just last way too long. Its cheap here but things are different. Id have to write a book which I thought about Its been an experience but were moving back hopefully this year. Thinking about palm coast, deleon springs area or ? Dunno. I mentioned the carolinas but not sure wife wants to go there. I do miss the beach so would like to be an hr away from there. I got a feeling property taxes are going to kill us. Man there high...
