I have been extended job offers in both Ormond Beach (Volusia County) and Ponte Vedra (St. Johns County), and I need advice on which area might be a better fit for my family. I was able to see quite a bit of the Daytona/Ormond Beach/Port Orange area when I interviewed, but I was unable to really tour Ponte Vedra.

I am married and have a young son that will eventually be entering school. I'm looking for a family-friendly city with low crime and good schools. From what I was able to see, PV and Ormond Beach/Daytona are very different. I'm not sure what to do & would appreciate any info on the areas or advice that you have to offer. Many, many thanks for your help!

welcome to the forums
I would say Ponte vedra hands down I liived there for 5 years
If you follow golf this is where they play the TPC every year
quite a few of the players live in PV
The schools in St Johns county are great
It is a very family friendly area
The PV area is very nice
Not to mention usually your HOI and taxes are better

feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions

a early welcome to Florida
