I go for miami. I dread having to drive over there. If I'm not being tailgated, honked at or cut off I'm paranoid of being shot or car jacked! :P

Wow, I thought Jax would stay decent, the people are friendlier than in other parts of FL, and they are more slow and southern by nature. But I guess it has changed there now too.

Remember, Southern automatically means friendly.

The thing to remember is that while Northern Florida ( Jacksonville, Tallahassee ) are more laid back and traditionally " southern " They are still cities in Florida with Floridians as their residents.

Miami is pretty bad because it is a very dense compact metro. I have lived in south Florida for 30 years & moved to the Orlando area 3 years ago and this is by far the worst. Last year I had my first road rage incedent where a a guy in a pick up truck was tailgating me for 2 miles on a one way road. As I pulled into a shopping center this guy slows all the way down and points a gun at me! This never happened to me in Miami!

Other gripes about Orlando is you would think with the amount of highways they have traffic would be better but it's not & if you don't have a Sunpass or exact change for tolls ( every highway here has a toll) you are screwed since the vast majority are unmanned.

In Miami everyone seems to drive fast but act as if they know where they are going. Orlando is particularly dangerous because you have very slow and very fast drivers on top of all the redlight running (worse than any place Ive been).
