NEED HELP!!! These are the places I think Iam interested in relocating to. Iam Moving from DC/ NO VA. WE a couple in the 20's. WE want to rent for the first year preferably under $2000 no more then $2500 for a 4+ bedrom with a pool. Prefer newer houses. Would like an area with low crime, place to do thing shopping dining etc. I done some research but it is hard to rely on information that is sponsored by that city. Look for info on people that live there. Also please recommend any other cities that will be good. At this time we arent concerned about school. We prefer to stay on the east coast i believe. We are in Real estate/ mortgage field and medical. Thank you!!!!!!

In your post you say you want to stay on the WEST coast of Florida, but these cities are on the EAST coast of Florida.

I first left Wellington outside of West Palm Beach for Palm Coast. It is beautiful there, but it took a while to get to shopping in St. Augustine or Daytona. Now this was 2002, so not sure if anything has changed much. The traffic in Palm Coast was pretty bad as well near 95.
Martin County is pretty expensive, but Palm City is nice development. From my experience in looking in many of these areas back in 2002, I thought Cocoa, Titusville to be a bit trashy. I liked beachside Vero/Sebastian and Melbourne but could only afford the older houses.
I think you will find what you need in Volusia/Brevard County if you want shopping, perhaps less so in Indian River/Martin (I may be wrong because I left the east coast in 2004).

The only one I would avoid is Titusville. It is so far from the rest of the county, there isn't much for shopping or much else for that matter. Merritt Island and Melbourne/Viera are the more expensive areas of Brevard but think you could probably rent something with a pool for under $2500 easliy enough. Satellite Beach is nice and it's pretty easy to access most other areas from there, ie; Melbourne, Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach. The drive through Tropical Trail is lovely =)
My cousin lived in Daytona Beach for a couple years and she absolutely loved it!! Good luck.
