Alright, so according to our experts, it looks so far like THE friendliest Central Florida county is Brevard, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, and Volusia.

That's about half of the counties available, so I hope that narrowed down your choices!

Can we get some votes for Levy, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Polk, Seminole, or Sumter?

I didn't participate in this because how can any one person possibly know which of ALLLLLLLL these counties is the "friendliest?" And even if one person had lived in all of them, it would still be only that person's personal experience and perception. Also, each county has several cities and towns, each with their own "vibe" and so different from one another.

As a general rule, the places I have been are overall friendlier in the inland and smaller towns. For me, that includes the little town of Dade City in Pasco County, and the bigger city of Lakeland in Polk County. These areas tend to be more traditionally "southern" in feel and have a lot of long-time original residents and businesses.

In Hillsborough County I have only lived in Tampa, and I barely consider Hillsborough that much of an inland county anyway.

I really think each individual has to travel around and see if an area is to their liking. We all want something different, and you can have two people living in the same town but different neighborhoods and one person will think it's the friendliest place ever, and the other will feel the total opposite.

Anyway, to the OP - I wish you luck in finding YOUR personal perfect friendly county! Frankly, I haven't found anywhere to be "unfriendly" in the west central area of Florida.

Thanks to everyone who's given an opinion. The reason for my original post was to get some personal points of view from Floridians. I realise everyone can't have lived in every county but it doesn't stop you having an opinion on the ones you have lived in. I really like Osceola, Orange, Polk & Dade but I haven't lived in any of them for more than 3 weeks. I've had some brilliant advice from some of you guys for which I'm truly grateful, big love. There's also a fat slice of negativity from some but thats life huh? Keep the opinions coming & thanks again to all.
