Roger that, man. And I love it when I get approached like I know it too. Actually it pisses me off a bit.

Yet, they are in America. If I went to Italy, and everyone was speaking Italian, I wouldnt be offended if English wasnt spoken, because I am in Italy. If I wanted to stay in Italy, I would learn Italian, unlike many who come here, FL especially, and dont seem to care to assimilate.

That in no way explains how you're getting from not agreeing with the conventional wisdom about school statistics to not caring whether my children are well-educated.

Pretty much everything you mention this is exactly (about) the conventional wisdom regarding statistics. I don't know if you put all those question marks after "conventional wisdom" because you're wondering what that phrase refers to? That would be important to know before drawing inferences from a statement about it.

I care about my children being well-educated. I do not agree that the typical way of assessing schools, which most folks accept without too much critical thought about it, gives me that information.

You prove how schools are graded to me, and how where they are and are not affect how good they are......

I'd say the one thing to ask yourself is can you actually come here, without listening to the relentless negative comments on here and make a choice for yourself. Jobs are not an issue so that takes out a HUGE chunk of the problem..

Hate to burst your bubble but I did not state it bothered me. You said that.

My choice is not to eat in a restaurant that is frequented by people who cannot speak a word of my and our language.

This country is getting screwed, every city I have traveled abroad you as an American need to learn their language, here we are being forced to change for others. Try to travel to China or Japan, do you think they have english on their menu's? NOT!

Sorry but it simply does not bother me, like I said if you read it all and not pick out what you want to hear, I said I IGNORE them.
