It seems to be a nice area what's the scoop on it. It's right between Orlando and Daytona Beach. I want to move there from port Richey Florida.

Hi Jaybee - I'm from Daytona Beach area. Deltona is south of Deland and not too far to drive to Orlando if you're planning to work there. Most of the people lives in Deltona are working in Orlando area. It is the cheapest place to buy a house, comparing to expensive housing in Orlando.

The majority of people living in Deltona is Hispanic community. They have spanish store, churches, and more. I'm not sure about the schools there, but you can check it out by google it under Volusia County School and they have report cards for each one.

Deltona do have a problem with the land there: sinkhole. They have more sinkholes than any other area. You might want to check it out before you buy a house there.

There are really just a few sinkholes in Volusia County. Deltona is a growing area, housing is very reasonable, and it's convenient to the beach, Orlando, and shopping.

PM me if you have questions.
