the best, Goodland Key and that little dynamite restaurant. The worse there, traffic too.

Id say Miami is the worst city in Florida. Just read the rants almost everyone has about Miami. Very few like Miami, all my friends hate it. In fact I would stay away from south FL entirely, north FL is a much better location.

I am relocating to Ft Myers from Long Island. I have been reading so many things about how terrible, and the high crime rate in Ft MYers. I am starting to think I am making a hugh mistake, and its tolate for me to get out of it.
Is there anything positive about living in Ft. Myers except for the breaches? |

Since that is not the case, I would say Ft Lauderdale- dirty, traffic, messy; just a very unpleasant place which changed so much since I first saw it in 1989. sunny |

Sunrico, there are so many nice areas here and so many enjoyable things to do. Thank goodness not even robots are all programmed the same, to do the same things at the same time, in the same order, etc. Human beings are extremely complicated breed and that's what makes us what we are as a society.
I've LIVED in NYC, Peru, Miami. Have travelled to quite a few places across the States, in Europe, Caribbean, and you know what, I'm happy here. Not everybody is and there will be many others who are or will be in the future. But I bet if I go further up in Florida (cause I ain't leaving Florida!!! Lol), I will like a lot of other areas also. It's all about what you want to make out of life and finding the opportunity to do it. |

I want to relocate to Florida but dont know where to start. I am a young 50 year old who does not want to live with people who have retired. I want to have fun go places and enjoy life. I want a fun place with lots to do and not too high real estate.

I wouldn't want to live in Daytona Beach or Tampa, Jacksonville or Naples.
Daytona is horrible during Bike Week, spring break and a few other events. Tampa and Jacksonville I just don't like. I have visited both many times, never lived in either and would never want to. Naples is beautiful and I am sure very nice for the super rich. It's just so blame hot there and my mother in law lives there. Nuff said. Just my honest opinion, sorry to those who love it in these towns. Remember...to each his own. |

I agree about Daytona. We recently took a trip north to explore Daytona but we didn't even stop there for lunch. I have a rule. I wouldn't eat anywhere where I wouldn't stop to pee. Nasty place. We drove to Cocoa Village for a nice lunch.
