Can Florida Survive More People?
Florida Can't Handle The Load Of People We Have Because We Need More Water.
If We Cut Taxes We Will Make The Problem Worse.

That will require unfathomable amounts of money.

Quandry
This is one of the reasons why I have not moved back to FL. I used to live in Port Charlotte, loved it, and have always wanted to move back. However, some of the things that I love about FL could potentially be hurt by me (and others) moving back to FL: wildlife, GOM, water supply, etc. Granted the HOI and Property are out of whack right now, but the ecological system of FL is taking a worse hit...

Desalination is the ticket and it won't be that expensive after the initial system is set up. It's the only thing that makes sense.
Can Florida handle more people? Funny, I just read another thread about the exodus... so people are coming and going. Should be staying pretty even.

One super hurricane to flush all the crap into the ocean. That's all it needs. The swamps will bounce back as will the sage brush and oaks. Then all those fancey a$$ condos will be a new reef system

I was wondering the same thing. A number of posters were adamant that the number of people leaving Florida was outpacing the number moving to Florida. Some moving company told them so.
