After highs in the mid 80s the other day up here in Wacahoota we are looking at a week of sunny days with highs in the mid 60s!
I heard the hooves drumming this morning before daybreak as the horses were running with the cold. The horses and cows are frisky when it gets cold in the morning and nap in the sun in the afternoons.
My black "Labrador American" pups (the politically correct term these days) who hide from the summer sun are loving it too. They are chewing up everything they can get a holt of so maybe their increased energy level is a mixed blessing.
A great week to do hard labor outdoors!
I got the wood pile to get up to snuff, some fence work to do.
Even had some rain when the front came through yesterday to bring up the winter rye!
I got a cool breeze today and heard it can last all week. Time to catch up on my tree trimming, and finish rebuilding the bobcat. I just wish this would last from now till April but the heat will be back soon.
We get a nice change of seasons up here in N Florida. It jus might be too cold for your South Florida blood though.
I love a frosty morn with a sunny afternoon. Dress in layers on those days cause you will be in a T shirt in the afternoon. Long johns are only used once or twice a day on exceptionally bitter cold days where there is little or no warm up.
The worst days in the winter are cold and rainy afternoons which we dont get that often.
