The flyer has the realtor's website on it, but the pix are awful- the house is so cluttered. It's empty now and I peeked in the windows. I am betting that the owners would take 180k, but that's just with cursory knowledge of the property.

The address is 3386 Fairbanks Grant Rd., Jax 32223.

I wish I could keep my townhouse, which is on the other side of the lake near the one my mom has, and buy this place for me to live in. It's not as nice as mine, but has a yard and would be a great investment if one were to live in it for a few years.

It is about 12 miles to downtown via San Jose Blvd. in an area that is built out, so no big commercial or apartments going in nearby. The only apartment complex in the area has gone condo (the Oasis) with 1 bedrooms starting at 130k and it is one of the least expensive homes in the neighborhood.

Thanks hereinfla. My best friend lives in Jax. I'll send her the info and maybe she's not too far from there. It would be a schlepp for me to even do anything about it right now and I would be more interested in a investment property to rent out for a few years but that I would want for myself later. If it needs a lot of work, I wouldn't be able to manage it now financially or distance wise. I am keeping a mental (and writing down too) list of nice, affordable places you guys mention and want to at least go see for myself in the next few months. Hopefully, I can narrow the areas down a little better. Gosh it's so difficult when you don't know what the future will bring. I don't have family, small kids, or anything that could help me pick a place. If anything it would all be more job related considerations but hopefully, I won't be looking for that either when I am ready to move.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate your follow-up.

1, Living in my moms house trying to get independent to live on my own all the sooner, Not having enough money to get the hell out and pay a rent in any place I feel like doing so.

2, I will be moving due to the weather, it sucks and am also looking to seek a social life somewhere where I know I will be staying put for awhile.
