I think the opposite actually. Not to say that there arent rude drivers there, they dont call it "little NYC" for nothing. But to say that it is worse than South FL would be inaccurate. I know we all have opinions, but Charlotte doesnt compare to S FL when it comes to bad driving, driving w/o a license, and road rage. If your parents were coming to visit from the panhandle, I could see how they would think it's awful. I dont know, I havent been to Charlotte in a few months, maybe it has changed. I did notice that there were a lot of NY'ers, Bostonians, and Miami'ans there, they newspaper even made a reference to it when referring to the bad driving/traffic.

Your friends moved to Boca and thought it was nice that they finally met nice people? Where did they move from?

This is true. Moving from Charlotte to South FL for better drivers is kind of like moving from South FL to Charlotte to get away from crime.

So, why didn't you say something? I would have! I call people on their ignorance and lack of common curtousy all the time. Sometimes you have to point things out to people so they know they are being jerks. For instance today I'm going to my son's basketball game and a guy was joggin with his ipod on and ran right into traffic, I honked, because he was completely unaware that the light was green and had I been going any faster, I surely would have crashed right into him, do you know he gave me the finger. Well, that wasn't the best thing for him to do, I was headed into the parking lot of my son's school, which he did not know. I basically cut him off on the sidewalk (the entrance to the schools parking lot)and of course being confronted he didn't know what to do. He thought about cursing at me, but i then stopped him and told him that he was wrong for giving me the finger when I was merely giving him a honk to pay attention to the traffic light. He then apologized and went on his way. He needed to walk away from our encounter knowing that he was wrong. Oh and just so you guys know, I didn't lay on the horn, I just tapped it. my light was green, had I been going a little faster, I could have hit him.

I agree Compelled. Charlotte crime is, and has been on the rise, and leaving S FL to go to Charlotte to escape crime is not the right answer. However, and I say this with more emphasis, to think that Charlotte would compare to S FL when it comes to rude/bad/aggressive driving is even more foolish.

I don't think that Orlando or Tampa are that friendly, maybe perhaps it is from my experience.
