a Sink hole is an area that the ground just drops away, or caves IN !

2 likely causes are buried garbage that has decayed & left a void, later caving in.
Or a water line break underground, again w/surrounding ground sinking in !

If it happens at a house & house sinks very much, it is deemed un-inhabitable & un-safe.
a sink hole is an area that has natural underground water, i.e. aquafer. sometimes an aquafer will dry up and it leaves a void where it was. this void collapses. it is not now nor has it ever been due to underground gargabe or broken watermains.
all lots that are built on have to explored by a geotech for possibilities of sink holes occuring. sometimes they dont get it right. some areas are prone to sink holes and some are not. most are not. a water main break will cause wash out. this occurs in every state in the country.

Homeowners insurance in Spring Hill is actually cheaper then Pasco county or other areas that I've heard of.. I just recently got my policy in Dec. of last year and it ran me 1,500 for the year.. In Pasco county there getting quotes of 3,000 and 8,000 per year and that's no lie.. lol

Dear Joe and Betty

Congrats on moving here. I am a native as is my husband. I live in the Western communities of Palm Beach County and although I am not in Wellington, I am familiar with it. What specifically did you want to know about the area??

Hello Joe and Betty, My folks just picked a lot at Wellington in Spring Hill and are in the process of confirming the floor plan that they want. I am going to visit this Sunday and walk through all the models. I am in Daytona Beach area and am seriously thinking of moving over that way as the insurance, taxes and homes are so much cheaper and the west coast of Florida is beautiful. Neither hubby or I are 55 so we will be looking at different communities. I think you will love living in Florida!
