Hello Everyone,

I have lived in South Florida for over 20 years. As you can imagine, I have seen it changed. I feel very mixed about where I live. I love it and then sometimes I don't. Sometimes I am not sure if it's a good place to raise a family. Nevertheless, I was wondering if I can get some people's opinions as to where some good up and coming areas are in the state. Outside of the Southeast area, I really have no clue as to what the rest of the state is like. I'd also like to know if those individuals feel it a great area for a family and if there are things to do. Thank you for the advice.

north palm beach areas, although expensive, are still good....palm beach gardens, jupiter, southern martin county. no clue about jobs up there but the areas are still good. some parts of the suburban tampa bay region are still very good for families. it all depends on how u make money and where u can do it, especially these days

It doesn't matter where you live in florida, you still have to act responsible as a guardian of your kids. Actually it doesn't matter where in the country you live, you have to be vigilant in the care of your kids.

Personally, I like the SWFL area. I'm just getting settled in, but have been over on this side many times, and really like the area and all it has to offer. It is laid back, and everyone is very friendly.

The most up and coming area in Florida is Jacksonville. It has a diverse economy and very affordable housing. I think Jacksonville will see very positive growth in the years to come.
