Talking Moving to central east coast, newly divorced, kids not at home, any suggestions?

Hi, am looking to be closer to my son, who lives in West Palm Beach, even two hours north is fine. Not sure of the areas at all, need a good job, good safe location for a single woman living alone.

I love the beach, not the city life, and don't have to be 5 minutes from the nearest mall.

Any suggestions are very welcomed!

thanks ]

Default two hours north?

Hi,
I think 2 hours north could be pretty far and hard driving if you're really looking to be near your son. Don't forget about the hurricanes on the East Coast. If you've never experienced a full blown hurricane approaching a 3, you could be in for a very unpleasant and scary adventure. And they say we're in for another 20 years of 3 + hurricanes - that means 3_ to 5's !!!!!!

Renting around West Palm is still feasible , although it's known to be heavy in crime - around Boynton Beach you can rent apartments from $6 to $850. why not do that before buying...so you can see if you like it or not.
