I'll come back when Florida was like it was when I was a kid. And not so many dead raccoons on the road and people stop tearing down trees. You no the more trees you kill and the more pavement there is the hotter it will get.

Since Florida still has a large net gain in residents daily, I don't see the point in discussing "returning".

I will move back when I am older. I still own a house and condo there, bought before prices got so high.

Recently sold my main Florida house and made a killing and moved outside Atlanta for the slower pace and better cost of living. I am not kidding when I say my car insurance is less than half of Florida and grocery shopping is so much less.

I sure do miss the Florida weather though.

I voted housing costs, as well. It's not that Florida is the most expensive place to live, because it's not. It's that the wages cannot support the cost of housing, here. There are other problems, like poor schools, weak economy outside tourism, etc. But those are tolerable for some people, if you can afford a decent house.

I'm surprised that many members always complain about crime but of the 38 voters only 4 are concerned about crime. Housing cost is the clear reason that keeps others out....

Of all the time I lived in Florida (Jupiter and Melbourne area) about 30 years. The only crime that was commited upon me was that I had a license plate stolen.
I moved to a little town in TN a had a $3000 go cart stolen (that was chained up) from my yard within 1 year.

Thank you for the input, many people think that Florida is the only state with crime and they are wrong. Crime happens all over the nation.
