Sure their a bunch people who think it's Southern but those are the same people who think the "South shall rise again"! Theirs a reason they tried to make South Florida it's own state because they have different needs then the rest of the state. As for the rest of Florida (except Orlando & Jacksonville never been)from my experience is the South.
of course, north Florida should just be called Floribama. I think both parts would be better off if they split it say around Ocala.

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed you found Tampa as pretty southern. Try S FL, you'll have a blast!

The West Coast of Florida is a mixture of southerness and retirees. Everyone is so nice to me and always appoligizing for things that don't need appoligizing for. It annoys me when people are always sayin sorry. Very laid back reminds me of Key West just more land. Alot of Southern Hospitality is found on the West Coast. I'm sure it gets more Southern-ness as you go inland goes the same for anywhere in Florida.

I could not vote because it does not have a large enough selection.

Odd as I have travel a ton in my life to all these states and find that Florida has a vast mixture from all over which is good.

Florida, or most of it does not reflect the Alabama, Georgia or South Carolina attitude or southerness which I find very unique that once you pass into Florida and are inland some the southerness of those 3 states seems to go away.

I personally like the mix of AMERICAN culture in Florida.

Goofykid, I find Orlando "non-Southern" unless you get out towards places like Lake Wales and Clermont/Lake County (parts of it), parts of Oviedo, etc... But I find Orlando to have some of the rudest and most inconsiderate folks in all of FL, with the exception of parts of S FL.
