Default Deland

Please share your thoughts about residing in Deland. Is it a good place to live, or be in line with a commute to another area where there are some jobs in the medical field....ie..RN. Thanks.

DeLand is a great town. Quiet and slow-paced. Lots of trees. Nice downtown. Easy commute to Daytona Beach, New Smyrna, and Seminole County. Even a commute to Orlando is doable. DeLand has jobs in the medical field too.

Look into the new Florida Hospital that they are building in Ormond Beach right off I-95. The commute from Deland to the new hospital would be 30 minutes at the very most, and that's if you live on the south side of DeLand.

P.S. Lots of good fishing in that area. Lots of lakes in West Volusia and the St John's River is nearby. You're also 20-30 minutes to the coast at New Smyrna for saltwater fishing.
