Hey Debble13,
Why don't you come and live on the west coast with the rest of us great people. But if you insist on staying on the east side , you ought to look on the Orlando thread, I think that's where they post.
Good Luck on your questions though!

Debbie you have posted in the correct area for Ormond Beach. Ormond is a beautiful area and depends on what type of job you are looking for.
On the west side of I-95 on S.R. 40 in Ormond there are several communities that have multi-acre properties. Sorry can't remember the names and off hand don't know the prices. There's lots of land all around here though. You would really need to contact a realtor for more details or try online and see what you can find.
Ormond Beach is an hour from Disney and Universal and of course close to Daytona Beach and the Speedway. Wishing you the best in your search and definitely come down and check things out in person but definitely have a job in place before moving here.

If you want some land, you will pay for it. But look off Durrance Road, Leeway, Rodeo Road, Plantation Pines, etc. All of which are west of I-95 but not far from town.

I used to own a home on the Beach in OBS for almost 10 years.... Franky, unless your old, or blue collar, or transcient, life is at best mediocre.
Frankly, it's boring. Go to Tampa!

Be wary of any vacant land which could be unbuildable due to wetlands, about which your realtor probably won't tell you, especially the Plantation Pines area. One of my relatives is out 130,000 for property they can never build on.
Ormond is great town and the area has virtually no crime. Taxes are high & you get what you pay for.
