The bottom line is that DOWNSTATE NY's weather is vastly different than upstate. In fact, in the past 10 or 15 years you are more likely to see a total of maybe 6 inches all winter, rather than 25. When was the last time you had 60 or 65 degrees in January or February? That seems to be happening now almost every year. There is less and less snow downstate now. Winters have gotten much warmer than they were in the past. Again, it's a different place uptstate.
Well, sorry, but I don't like 80s. It was enough for 3 months in summer in NY. I cannot take it all year. It puts me to sleep. I have no desire to go out or do anything but sleep.
Whatever. Different strokes for different folks. Don't envy me being here in Florida. I envy YOU. I would have moved to Syracuse in heartbeat rather than Naples, Florida, if my husband had gotten a job there instead.
