All Saints/Railroad Square in Tallahassee
Hi all,
I stopped in at a newish bar in Tallahassee called the Fermentation Lounge (OT: which was fantastic, btw. can't recommend it highly enough!) to meet some friends for a drink. It's in the All Saints/Railroad Square area (which I'm defining as Bronough to Railroad and Gaines to the railroad tracks.)
That's typically a part of town that I've avoided in the past because it has been overrun by college kids, but I noticed that they've built some really nice condos in the area. It's also appealing to be close to places like Fermentation Lounge, Fat Sandwich, All Saints Coffee, downtown, etc.
I've lived in Tallahassee for the better part of a decade... started off by going to school here and wound up getting a job that has kept me here. I'm tired of paying rent, and am looking to move somewhere in town that has "character." (I know that's sort of ill-defined, but I'd rather live in an older part of town than a newly-developed suburb.)
So, the question is.. what are people's impressions of that neighborhood? Is it completely college kids whose folks bought them a condo? Are there young professionals who live there too?
I know that this was addressed tangentially in a previous thread, but I'm hoping for a wider range of responses on the subject.
Thanks!
CoS
