I heat/cool about 2400 sq ft in Palm Coast, Fl and am on balanced billing, meaning I pay the same amount every month year round. My electric is $107. monthly, and I keep my house nice and cool.... and open the doors continually for the dogs...

In Palm Coast also with 2200 sq ft, keep the a/c in summer anywhere from 77 to 80 (programmable) with the pool pump running 7 hrs every day up to $215. Winter with no heat used about $100 with the pool on 4 hrs a day. Of course FPL is going up 16% but I'm sure all the other electric co's will be also.

Default Electric costs increasing nationwide

Well your electric utility bills will be going up according to the official energy statistics for the U.S. government.

EIA - Short-Term Energy Outlook

Here is a nice graph from the government showing what you can expect.
