Hello, I'm about to move to the Panama City area in a few weeks from New Orleans. I am 36 single male that likes to have a good time but don't like to be cought-up in all the touristy stuff. I have been looking for apartments online and will be comeing to town this weekend to try and find one I like. I love the water and fishing and also like some night life bars, socail events, meeting and talking to people,etc... ANY IDEAS ?

Panama City will seem rather tame after New Orleans.
Not nearly as much live music, few decent bars.
But the beaches and water are absolutely gorgeous.

Have you considered the 30A area too? It's just west of Panama City Beach.
