Sounds about right to me. There must be something about Denver I don't know about, but they can have it!

"Researchers polled 2,260 adults during telephone interviews."

Very Deceptive.

U.S. Population: 303,824,640 (July 2008 est.)

Theres probably more users on this forum than they surveyed.

What a joke.

You really don't need that many people to come up with enough data for a telephone poll to be relatively accurate. The national political polls don't use much more than that, and can be very accurate if they get their voter mix correct. (If you're interested in the accuracy of polls and polling, Fivethirtyeight.com has some good content if you read back to the election run-up)

I think they are great cities to live in, don't get me wrong. If I did not think that I would not live in Orlando, BUT I think it comes from a certain utopia mentality, escaping the cold, etc. It is the allure of the sunbelt. Denver and Seattle were so high because they are highly educated cities that have pretty low crime. I think that Orlando and Tampa will become even better places to live with all the work the stimulus package may put back into Florida, and the new Med school and VA hospitals coming to Orlando.

Did you expect them to call 300 million people?
I saw many Presidential polls that used less people yet everyone seemed to trust in them.

Why is it deceptive? That's the way polls work. The survey also found that by a margin of 2:1, people prefer warm weather climates to cold. You'd never know that based on the posts here by some of our most vocal FLorida haters here on the Florida forum, of course.

Who is "everyone"? I would not "trust" this poll nor the ones you speak of.

Just because someone "prefers", warm weather to cold does not convince me that the majority of people in the U.S. would rather live in say, the suburbs of Orlando or Tampa instead of, lets say, the suburbs of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. There are a lot of variables that could go along with that statement.

My personal preference is that I prefer 70-75 degrees instead of 0-10 degrees. But I also prefer 30-40 degrees instead of 90+ degrees with high humidity.

Then throw in that I am a father of 2 children and my "warmer climate", preference goes out the window. Priorities would change to good schools, low crime, etc...

I could understand why people would want to live in all of those places....as opposed to the ones on the bottom of the list.
