AWESOME!!!

I wish my kids could be going what he is doing, they would love it!

I am NOT going to let them up any more here in the cold and not get to do what your son is.

Congrats on being a good parent, raising a smart, happy, intelligent and handsome young man.

And all from FLORIDA!!!

By the way you deserve a ton of credit because kids like him get to where he is because of you! Something many parents seem to have a hard time grasping because they are to busy blaming others for their failures.

I think one of the best things about Florida is that within a couple of hours drive, you can enter into a whole different terrain and way of life. MANY people who move/retire to Florida don't chose the beach areas at all. They love the tranquility of our lakes, rivers, springs and small town living. The people, as well as all the choices, make it a very diverse state that appeals to a great many people. Not to mention year round golf.

So, what's going to be different now?

"tools" that make a state or area great are: proximity to good paying jobs, enough good paying jobs, a strong state economy, good public schools, an ADEQUATE infrastructure, ect.

People have to AFFORD "quality of life".........

If "beaches and warmth" made Florida the best state, than why do people live anywhere else?

I see Florida's future as nothing but more "BOOMS AND BUSTS" based on tourism, services, and IDIOTIC-OUT OF CONTROL real estate speculation.

Pretty much sums it up. However the housing bust and corporate downsizing are actually good for growth in FL to reaccelerate in a major way in a few years. No place has the combination of beaches, infrastructure, great winter weather and enough diverse areas to chose from in which anyone no matter their background will feel at home if they do their homework. Now some places like Houston and Atlanta sure offer a dynamic combo of warm climate (relative to the north), low cost of living and the tons of job/career opportunities that FL can't compete with with. All about needs and what is most important to you

Tiger Woods is from California and he can live anywhere in the world. Tiger, the highest paid athlete; $30 million yearly annual salary. Tiger could live in Monterey, Ca or Marin County Ca.(most expensive county in US) But no, instead he prefers to live in Windermere Florida.

What does that tell you?

What does that tell you?

It tells me that Tiger Woods needs a place that he can practice year round.

It also tells me that Tiger Woods has enough money to live a FANTASIC lifestyle anywhere he chooses.......... He could live a FANTASTIC lifestyle in Flint, MI or Minot, ND or Abiline, TX or Florida.

It also tells me that Tiger Woods can make the same amount of money REGARDLESS where he lives.

It also tells me that Tiger Woods LIVES IN A DIFFERENT WORLD than the rest of us, and using him as an example to prove a point is..............

POINTLESS.

"What does that tell you?"

He likes to save on taxes? To think that his home in Windermere is the only home he lives in would be kind of silly, dont you think?

I mean, lets be honest here, there are tons of celebs with homes in FL, but to think they all live here all the time is kind of silly. If I had that kind of money, I'd have several different houses too.

Yep, me too.

I'd come down and enjoy the fishing and a little warm weather........

Then I'd head back up North for most of the year.

You see, that's what Florida is for...... vacations and second homes. It has always been set up for those exact things.........

And that in it's self.......... is a big part of the problem.
