Florida's beaches are consistently ranked among the top beaches in the U.S.
2008 had Caladesi Island in Dunedin,Fl as #1, Siesta Beach in Sarasota was #3.

Florida had 3 in the top 10 and Hawaii had 2 in the top ten.

I vacation elsewhere now. I go further south such as Mexico. Warmer weather and water temps as well as more lavish resorts there.

Does anyone have any good things to say about Florida? I was thinking of moving there, because I hate the cold, and I can easily relocate with my job. Where are some good places to live? And here I am asking about places that are not out in the country but close to the city life, shopping, work etc?
And please no cynicism!!
