Default How Long did you live in Florida before you moved out?

Its always difficult to make a move to a new State. I've been told give it at least 2 years before you decide to go back to where you came from. How long did you wait before you moved back?

June 1986 to Jan 1987, left and it was a huge mistake, regretted it ever since.

Cannot wait to go back to Florida.

Judes is on a distinguished road
Smile Should not have left

We lived in Florida 12 years and family convinced us it was "the right thing to do" to move back up north. This is our second winter here and the "for sale" sign is going up as soon as it thaws. We will go back to FL, where there is sunshine, no state income tax, higher HO insurance, higher car insurance, but no snow to shovel. Can't wait to get back to the warmth and out of these unwieldy winter coats.

It'll be 15 years by the time we move, May 2012, but the countdown has begun for us too!

moved here in 2001--often think of leaving, but I always go on my search during the winter months because I never want those grey, dreary days for months at a time again. I have thoroughly covered the southeastern states--and haven't found any place better yet. I'll go look at Texas,AZ, NM--but short of finding something there, I'll probably stay here.

I've been visiting here for just over a week, and I can't wait to leave. Outside of the sunshine factor, Florida is over-rated, over-priced, over-populated and stone-cold (in personaility, IMO).
