Having a home in a "partial basement" where the windows in the kitchen are very high up and small is like living in a dungeon during the winter. It's horrible! In other words the back of the house is dug in to the ground.

We didn't have basements in Texas. That's why I'm looking here in the Florida forums. Anybody have any suggestions of their favorite places in Florida to come visit in Jan. or Feb.?
What is Disney World like in those months? Is it a ghost town? Is it even open? Has anyone camped at Fort Wilderness then? I think weather.com says Orlando averages in the 70's during Jan. and Feb.
I appreciate any advice. I've never had the pleasure of visiting your beautiful state. And, knowing how similar the heat and heat index is to Houston, Texas, I think I'll just come during the winter.
Lived in Orlando for 12 years and as far as I'm concerned those are about the only two months where the temps were tolerable (with March thrown in some years).... Disney would be better latter in January or February. You don't want to get mixed up with the XMas/New Years crowd around there, but yes, they're open..... The Mouse NEVER sleeps...

I had a bad case of it up in Ct. It has gone since I moved south. Also the cold weather was horrible on my asthma. It's much better now.
