The "natural beauty" you are all advertising is diminishing daily in Orlando, as builders continue to bulldozer every damn piece of land in sight and build crappy condos there.
Yes, the beaches are wonderful, the wildlife is pretty, but what good is it if it takes you 2h to get there in traffic? What good is it if you live in an overbuilt area with a lot of crime and you are scared to step outside. What good is the natural beauty if you cannot afford these overly expensive home prices or if your wages keep going down?
What good is the beauty if the builders come and bullbozer everything and the natural beauty is gone?
Something to think about. Yes, FL is gorgeous, but it's being ruined.

You are so SO true! I am sick of the land being striped clean, not a tree or living thing in site... it really is Ugly.
Dunnellon (In Marion County) has taken a first step in halting new development due to the area being unable to support the growth... so, for a little while, out there at least, we will not be seeing this kind of ugliness:

These two developments had been treed pastures until last Summer... There are still no homes, just a lot of Real Estate Signs

Is there ANY WAY we can convince the dumb idiots running the counties to PRESERVE some of the FL beauty left over. I think overbuilt areas KILL all the natural beauty of this state. Want an example: Atlamonte Springs. It is an overcrowded area, overbuilt, very yucky now (used to be nice). It is ugly, there are no more trees, it sucks now. No wonder everyone you see in Altamonte acks and looks angry. They see no trees, they see no green, they see no open spaces - it is all condos now.
I am so upset the reason WHY we can to FL is no longer here - the natural beauty and wildfile is being destroyed by greedy developers and people from other states that litter and cause problems.
Anyone think FL can still be saved from this looming demise of urban sprawl and zero quality of life? How can people enjoy living somewhere when it's all condos and no trees, no natural beauty??
Seminole county voters agreed to pay a bit more in property taxes to give the county extra revenue to BUY open land and preserve it, so Seminole county will not become yucky like Orange county. Can Orlando pass a no-growth ordinance in some areas?
