Default Favorite beach in Florida?

Sadly I have not been to many beaches in the wonderful state of Florida. I have been to South Beach numerous times in Miami Beach, many beaches in Collier County, and Lido Beach in Sarasota.

So, I am asking you what is your favorite beach in the state and why?

I've heard wonderful things about Siesta Key, Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Daytona, Clearwater, and others.

Miami Beach is my favorite beach in the state because of the action and nightlife. My second favorite would be Ft. Lauderdale. I find most other beaches in Florida bland with no life.

I do like South Beach and North Miami Beach but have not been there in years. We might drive down this spring. I like Honeymoon Island on the west coast.

Key Biscayne the best color and clean... but for all the things with a big wide beach and very slow drop off, hard to beat Daytona Beach Shores.

Destin/Ft. Walton Beach.... absolutely beautiful sand and water! It's just too bad it's soooooo far away from everything (which may be why it's still relatively undeveloped compared to points South in the state).

I think it's typical to believe the beach we live on is the best. I submit that any beach is better than no beach! With that said...my favorite is the Emerald Coast Beaches in the panhandle...

OOPS!! (bad beach)
