well ive lived in pensacola for 11 years . the job market here is poor . the schools in escambia county are not the best but they are ok , the schools in pace/milton(santa rosa county) are graded a lot higher . the housing market is affordable and in general pensacola is a very affordable place to live. you want to try and live on the east side of pensacola which is nicer and close to malls , shopping , theaters ,colleges etc.. if you live on the west side just avoid the seedy areas such as Brownsville , the only good thing about the west side of pensacola are the naval bases other than that its lifeless. if i were you i would definitely check out Pace , its laid back , extremely affordable and has top graded schools . a bonus to living in Pace is that there is no PMI to pay when you buy a house which will save you about $50 on your mortgage payment , also home insurance is less . Good Luck with your decision making . if you have any more questions about pensacola you can email me at
