Smile thinking of moving to Pensacola

My husband, kids and I are thinking of moving to Pensacola. We were wondering if anyone could tell us about the job opportunities, schools, and the housing market in that area. Anything that anyone could tell us would be greatly appreciated.

well ive lived in pensacola for 11 years . the job market here is poor . the schools in escambia county are not the best but they are ok , the schools in pace/milton(santa rosa county) are graded a lot higher . the housing market is affordable and in general pensacola is a very affordable place to live. you want to try and live on the east side of pensacola which is nicer and close to malls , shopping , theaters ,colleges etc.. if you live on the west side just avoid the seedy areas such as Brownsville , the only good thing about the west side of pensacola are the naval bases other than that its lifeless. if i were you i would definitely check out Pace , its laid back , extremely affordable and has top graded schools . a bonus to living in Pace is that there is no PMI to pay when you buy a house which will save you about $50 on your mortgage payment , also home insurance is less . Good Luck with your decision making . if you have any more questions about pensacola you can email me at mellowmel9@yahoo.com
