Florida gun owners are so desperate.

I grew up in Florida. I don't believe I could even go on vacation in Florida now. The state has been taken over by a bunch of frackin' gun owners who don't know where to stop! Everytime I read about a shootout between two concealed weapon owners on I-95, it really chills me, you know what I mean? And the concealed weapon owners who shoot other people in places like Post Office parking lots.

I can't believe the state! The laws are totally whacked out!

Wild beaver, and anything under the age of 10.

Quoting from a University of Florida study by Prof Kleck-
"...since adopting a concealed carry law Florida’s total violent crime rate has dropped 32% and its homicide rate has dropped 58%. Floridians, except for criminals, are safer due to this law. And Florida is not alone. Texas’ violent crime rate has dropped 20% and homicide rate has dropped 31%, since enactment of its 1996 carry law."

I don't want to link to the site and violate the rules here.

Also the filters at work are blocking some other sites, but there was study done comparing crime rates among CCW holders and police officers in Florida. The permit holders had lower rates of criminality, per capita, and when they actually HAD to use their firearms the permit holders shot many many fewer rounds at the bad guys and hit with their shots at a much higher rate than the police.

As the economy worsens crime of all types will increase. We're seeing it in New England, too.

One jogger out of how many? Sounds like more exaggeration. How many murder victims did you know by the way?
