A lot of the answers would depend upon what county you're in -- Four Corners could be Lake, Orange, Osceola or Polk.
In Lake County, my property tax rate is 16.4389, but I'm in the SOH program. Others go up to 22.XXXX.

Homeowners insurance can vary quite substantially. Mine is about $1350 but that is double what it was about 3-4 years ago. Of course if you get a bigger home (mine is almost 1700 sq ft) or have other variables, your rate would probably be more.

Never heard of it
So I can't weigh in. happy Hunting.
IY opinion, is Craigslist a good place to look? I forgot about them till another member mentioned them. I immediately popped our Spring Hill home up there complete w/photo. Wish we could keep it but we cannot manage two mortgages.

Lots of people are looking on craigslist for a multitude of things. I've sold stuff on there as have other members of my family. Some have bought a lot more than they've sold! But I honestly couldn't say how houses do on there. I'd go with an MLS if I wanted my home to get out to the most people, but I'm not sure how to do that without using a realtor. Do a search on some of the other threads or forums for MLS and you may find lots of posts regarding this.

No to 4 corners
I live in Clermont FL about 20 min north of 4 corners. Lots of crime and very close to tourism. You will find many residential communities dually used for vacation rentals. Lots of rentals and not the most desirable renters. Schools are tough in that area. I would look elsewhere.

There are several nice subdivisions in that area. Some have the Clermont address, a bit south it's Davenport in Polk County and 192 is basically businesses. There are vacation rental homes in that area, but they're not dumps by any means.

Actually, I can't say for sure that's true. The area north of 192 is a Clermont address....and we're fine & dandy! There is no town per se of Four Corners. It's just where the 4 counties converge on each other. Davenport is just a short distance south of 192.
