Default Has anybody been contacted by their State Farm agent?

I have been a State Farm customer with the same agent for almost 15 years; never filed a claim. Homeowners, 2 autos and an umbrella policy. Not a word from the agent, just the State Farm form letter about them leaving the homeowners business in Florida. I thought that they might try to save the rest of my business, but I guess they are not interested.

Just wondering what other people have experienced with State Farm.

I haven't heard from mine, but think that the deal isn't okayed yet, so that may be why. I heard on the radio that part of the deal would be to allow the agents to place us with alternate carriers. They are probably waiting for the official state okay so they know what to tell us. At least I hope so, cuz my policy expires this month. I forgot all about it- thanks for this thread, I'll call my agent tomorrow.

I have heard from my agent... my policy renewed just this past month. He said we'd be ok until this time next year, and that all depends on how the state decides to deal with the issue. I'm still hoping that Governor Crist tells State Farm that if they aren't going to do HO policies, then they can't do any policies, period. Only time will tell...

We got our notice from State Farm 1st.....ok truthfully, we heard it on the news 1st...that's sad right there.

We promptly found new insurance for EVERYTHING. They lost our house, two cars, motorcycle and boat coverage...and we never had a claim on anything.

No tears from us if they fold.

I may be wrong, But wasn't State Farm the company that refused to pay claims for Hurricane Andrew ?

I just got an auto insurance quote from Amica. Great company reputation, slightly better coverage and over $300 a year less. Looking at Olympus for the homeowners. I guess that State Farm won't miss me and I won't miss them.
