Default help!

My boyfriend and I are considering moving to Fl from NY. We are both in our early 20's and are not sure where in fl would be best for us.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and he has an associates in graphic design. We are looking for an apartment for around 900-1000 all utilities included and perhaps close to the beach and stores.

We both currently work for an agency for developmentally disabled adults making between 12-14 an hour. Are there any places like this in fl?

Would we have a difficult time finding employment? please help!

I used to work for an agency also in NY. The local agencies here pay about $10 an hour to start. The one here in Naples nearly shut down this year because of lack of funding. Go to a bigger city. I think UCP is mostly on the east coast of Florida and maybe Tampa.

Before you come down, submit your resume online. The big agencies post their job openings all over the state and you can apply while you are still living elsewhere. The one here in Naples contacted me from my online submission. They then told me to give them a call when I actually moved. I did and was offered a job, but I decided to work for the school district because that paid more money. That might be an option for you also with your degree.

Good luck.

The State of Florida runs facilities like the one you worked for. Try this site: https://peoplefirst.myflorida.com/logon.htm for state jobs.

TANaples: would you happen to have the e-mail address for the agency you applied for? or one that would be good? What options are there at the local schools there with a bachelor's degree in psychology? Thank you so much!
