I'm talking about just in general. What city is more transient than Orlando (overall)? I dont know of one, but maybe someone else does.

I know, and that's a concern (especially with our four dogs and three parrots -- and after we move, I plan on getting at least one and perhaps two more parrots), but you never hear of people evacuating from Marion County. We do plan on having a generator installed, though, just to be safe.
But they always seem to get it worse. It's a great lifestyle down there though if you have a lot of money and can live in one of the nice areas. But I wouldn't want to live in a 24 hour beach party town either, I know what you mean, that's too much of a "scene" after awhile when you're trying to live a real life.

That's not for us, not now -- and even when we were younger, neither of us was a party person (I had a boyfriend who complained that I was no fun because I never drank to excess. Duh. I've always had more fun with my wits about me). I love being with other people, and I've been known to get very loud at a Yankee game (I usually come home with no voice), but the party scene has never been an attraction. Even when we go to Atlantic City for a couple of days, we've been in bed by 10.
Give me a good book (all right -- more than one) and my garden, and I'm a happy camper.

And why is that funny? If you're going to make light of a statement I've made, please back it up with facts instead of making a drive-by post that contributes nothing to the discussion.

I've met people in Seminole County who've grown up here, or have been here for a very long time.

Kathy, I think he is agreeing with what I have said about your comment. It's one page back I believe.
