Yea, since the entire Florida has no slums, low cost of living and no traffic jams or bitchy cranky people.

"We want your high cost of living and we want your slums. We want high property taxes and bitchy cranky people. Yes, we're jealous."
^^^ I know you are talking about NY and NJ, but when you use the descriptions above, FL doesnt ring a bell? That's where FL gets most of it's bitchy, cranky people from, LOL. And my taxes are $4000/yr for a 3/2, so I know a little about property taxes, and dont get me started on traffic congestion. S FL, Tampa, and Central FL can compete when it comes to traffic.
And slums? You ever been to Miami, Opa Locka, or Belle Glade? Some of those areas look like 3rd world poverty-stricken areas.
PS- I dont wanna tick anyone off. There are most definitely good ppl from places like NY and NJ, no doubt.

Hop, have you ever been on the LIE? Seriously there really isn't any traffic like this - it is really bad. I have done the miami traffic and it is bad but it is bad in a different way, traffic moves slow, but still moves. We can stand completely still for 20 minutes or more for no reason at all other than it is sunny out -LOL.

Oh and as far as the ghettos go in comparison. It is hard to compare, because our ghettos consist more of high rises not really homes at least in NYC, in LI they look something like those pictures someone posted of Florida. Damn even I don't want to go to those areas.

It amazes me that the same people that throw generalizations around like they are nothing are the first ones to jump all over someone elses generalization.
Truth is he didn't really generalize, he posted about things that truly are up north, they are everywhere but they are definitely up north.

I'm originally from one of the wealthiest and most educated areas in the Northeast(Montgomery Co., MD) and have lived in other metro areas in the DC-BOS corridor.
We moved to FL by choice 12 years ago and have absolutely no desire to ever move back North. There's nothing found in the Northeast that a 2hr flight can't cure.
As far as slums, Miami is the only city in FL that has anything even remotely close to the slums and projects of SE D.C., East Baltimore, South Philly/Camden, Newark/Jersey City/NYC, or the Roxbury/Mattapan/Dorchester/Southie areas of Boston. Not to even mention St. Louis, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, etc...
