Debating... What Floridians think the state bird is?
Mosquito or Cockroach? Both are about the size of a bird and both outnumber all other birds, probably combined!
So is it the mosquito or the cockroach (they can fly)?

During daytime it is the mosquito or the lovebug or the no-seeum if you live near marshy areas. At night it's the flying palmetto bug-cockroach.

No way!!!!!!! It is DEFINATELY the mosquito!!!!!!!!!! I hardly see those palmettos compared to mosquitos! They are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! And they are HUNGRY!!!!!!! And they LOVE me! BUT! I now have official Buzz Off clothing & so far so good! HA!!!!!!! Of course I don't wear this 247 so they can get me as I type...Or while I sleep... AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, the "State Bird" roosts along I-95 primarily and tends to be attached to peopel in the form of a middle finger.

The state bird is a coors light can. I see plenty of them flying around in my neighborhood.
