I agree with this. If it helps medical-wise, then I don't see why it isn't legalized.

Getting 700,000 signatures is going to be a job for her!
If smoking cigarettes is so horribly bad for a person, why would anyone wish to legalize another SMOKING drug? And I know several people who would suddenly develop chronic pain and illnesses to be able to smoke pot legally....of course they're not too concerned about doing it illegally right now.
On the other hand, I think it's probably safer than oxycontin.

If marijuana could help somebody with an illness or whatever, then why SHOULDN'T it be legalized.
It is safer than oxycontin, that is a FACT!

How is it safer than a cig? I guess because someone who smokes, could smoke a pack a day, but the average marijuana smoker doesnt smoke anywhere near the amount.

Cigarettes don't help with anything expect killing you. There are some disease and such that marijuana could help. Legalizing it, but only for medical reasons, would help the tobacco industry in Florida.

cigs have more cancer causing tar in them than the equivalent amount of marijuana.

Because it isn't anywhere near as bad for you as tobacco, that's why.
