You should google "insert city city-data" so you can see the crime stats for yourself. For example if you google, "Pensacola, FL City-Data" you will see that it is located in the NW of Florida, yet is well above the national average in crime. I imagine you will receive a lot of false information in this thread, so it's better to fact check yourself. With that being said, in major cities there are always very safe areas if you can afford it, so crime stats can be misleading.

I agree, crime stats are very misleading. I supposedly live in a high crime zip code yet the very well-established neighborhood I live in (built in the late 70s and early 80s) and the area surrounding it is very desirable (and safe) with minimal crime activity for decades. One pocket of town about three miles away is economically depressed/poor (nearly 100% Black) and accounts for probably 8 out of 10 crimes in the area. One can over process crime stats to the point of paralysis but the reality is there are many safe areas within "high crime zip codes".

Exactly the same where I live, and pretty much every city/town in Florida. The majority of crimes happen in certain neighborhoods, plus EVERYTHING gets reported here, no matter how small. If people strictly go by crime stats, they would be afraid to move anywhere in Florida.
