Am I the only one who knew this was going to be yet another battle between old Florida and New Florida.
This arguement gets soooooooooooo boring.
It's simple really....if you like and need constant entertainment move to a city or SoFl...
if you prefer the laidback lifestyle and don't need constant entertainment move to North Fl or a rural area.
There not need to be so juvenile and call each other names like the lame "redneck".
Grow up.

Laid back is the Keys. I have lived all over Fl. and I have to say that the Keys are the most laid back...

Toleration for sin is an awful thing. It's perhaps the least hospitable thing you can do for anyone, as it inevitably leads to Hell. Real Floridians will fix your flat, but they won't mollycoddle you as northernerners (or at least their bureaucrats) will, that's for sure.

Oh blah, blah, sin, hell, whatever. If you want to believe nonsense go right ahead but don't try and push your beliefs on others and squash their rights.

There is no "club" that I am aware of... I've never paid to join any way. I know people throughout the southeast that would do anything to help someone. No, no racism is the north. Southern hospitality is a complete myth.
I'm not saying that people in the north cant be friendly or wont "give you the shirts off their back." I have found that places like Boca Raton and places like that in S FL have some of the nastiest, most rude and cranky people I've ever witnessed, and many agree. Not much southern hospitality to be found down there, that's for sure.
With all the comments you've made, I just have to ask again... Where you from again Siesta Bay? I have a pretty good guess with the comments you've been making, but prove me wrong Siesta Bay! I'm pulling for you!

I'm in Virginia... I thought we went over that on another thread.
I also don't take shots, only call it like it is. The fact is racism, sexism, and intolerance is alive and well in the south and that's what makes most southern towns redneck hick havens.

So being from VA makes you a southerner, i.e.- "one of them." Is that what you're saying?

No, I am just suprised by what you have stated about "rednecks, hicks and bible thumpers - stay away"... I mean, that's a pretty rude thing to say, and I find it interesting that you have these thoughts and ideas. Usually, from what I have encountered, people with these thoughts and ideas and criticisms are usually our newer residents from places like NY and NJ. So I find it interesting that you are from VA.
Not sure what you mean by "one of them."
I am a native "FL cracker" and southerner, so I'm not sure what you are suggesting by "one of them." I for one wish FL had more natives and southerners.
